Course Description
This course explores the rights and responsibilities associated with being an active citizen in a democratic society. Students explore issues of civic importance, including healthy schools, community planning, environmental responsibility, and the influence of social media, all the while developing their understanding of the role of civic engagement and political processes in their local, national, and/or global communities. Students apply concepts of political inquiry as they investigate and express informed opinions about a range of political issues.
