HIS7G: History

This course explores the history of Canada from 1713 to 1850, a period of significant change for all peoples living on this land. You will examine the experiences and perspectives of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, as well as those of French and British settlers. Topics include the impact of European colonisation, the development of New France and British North America, the fur trade, the loyalist migrations, and the early roots of responsible government. Through interactive animated lessons, you will develop skills in historical thinking, including the use of primary sources, cause and consequence, and continuity and change.
