LAN5G: Language

Grade 5 Language develops students' ability to read critically and write for a range of purposes and audiences. Learners interpret themes and points of view, gather and organize information, and craft well-structured narratives, reports, and opinion pieces. Interactive animated lessons strengthen vocabulary, comprehension, and the planning, drafting, and revising stages of writing. Students practise persuasive speaking and analyze how media shape ideas and messages. The course is aligned to the Ontario elementary curriculum and advances confident, capable literacy.
