Course Description

Grade 3 Social Studies explores life in early communities in Canada and how people met their needs long ago. Students learn about the First Nations and early settler communities and compare them with life today. Interactive animated lessons make historical communities and the geography of Ontario's municipalities easy to understand. Learners examine maps, natural features, and how communities use the land around them. The course is aligned to the Ontario elementary curriculum and builds an appreciation of heritage and place.
